Feedback time!

So, the game has been up on the google store for a while now and we have received 15 responses from people! Most of the feedback has been positive with some constructive criticism and helpful suggestions.

Overall the play testers liked the game, they liked the concept and how it reminded them of the old Pokémon games which I exactly what this game has been inspired from. They liked the cute little Inuit and sliding around the icy world. It was mentioned that the background music was a little repetitive, but this was a minor thing and could be easily fixed.

I am happy to say that everyone understood the controls, as it is such a simple game the controls couldn’t have been that hard and 86.7% said the objectives and goals were clear which is a very good number!

The next question that was asked was ‘would you be interested to keep playing to see how the game changed and developed in later levels?’ and 46.7% said they would be very keep and the rest varied half and half with the result being somewhat keen to keep playing and not sure if they would keep playing. With further development of the game I am sure that this number would rise and people would play.

There was a really good comment about haptic feedback and how it would really enhance the players experience and 100% agree with that and completely forgot that haptic feedback is so important, when playing games, you don’t really realise it but it does make the game more fun as you would be able to feel that the Inuit is hitting a rock or wall.

Another constructive criticism the game received was that it was not challenging enough, this will definitely be taken into account as we wouldn’t want the player to stop playing because the game is too easy, there needs to be some challenge to keep things interesting

The last question asked on the survey was about the at style and the style of the game is a sort of retro/pixel art and most people seemed to like that as it gave them a nostalgic feel with a few people again talking about old Pokémon games.

Overall this game had lots of good feedback and criticism that if this game was developed further, we would definitely be taking this on board and improving the game!
