Nearly finished!

This week we have really been trying hard to get this application finished, everything looks so great in my opinion and my partner is really good to work with, I’m not going to lie though, at the beginning of this project I was slightly nervous because I would have to work with someone I have never met before and being a girl in a programming class full of boys can be a bit daunting sometimes as they usually underestimate me and I have to be the one to reach out to someone and start the conversation first which can be a bit nerve-racking sometimes but with project I have found I have gained confidence a bit more, in my communication, getting my ideas and opinions across. It’s a bit harder now because obviously we are in a pandemic so we can’t meet face to face and work together in the same room, but I feel like we have done really well in terms of talking everyday and helping each other, and I actually had a lot of fun creating this application. I just hope we get a good grade for it because its 70% of my module! Scary!

So anyways, we are nearly finished, my partner has created the calendar view and added a cool API where it links with your phones calendar so you can see your events, I have created the flower blossoming animations so whatever mood you choose, the flower then blossoms when you press save. I am pretty sure we are finished with the application now, just need to finish off the report but thank goodness we were kind of simultaneously working on the report while doing the project, so we are half done with that.

Here is what some of my animations look like, I had to change the colour of some of the flowers because we decided they would suit the mood more for example I changed the sad mood from purple to blue and the angry cactus from pink to a red.
