This week I have just been finishing off the drone enemies, I have made the bullet nicer, they glow a nice orange now. Also, I have added a canvas and a health bar to each of the drones so when the player shoots at then, it decreases and then the disappear from the scene, I still need to add a dying animation, but that should not take too long.
I have also added a red tint to the canvas that activates every time the player is hit with one of the enemies’ bullets. when I finish the other enemies, I will make it activate any time the player gets attacked or shot at, or if they fall from a tall height.
I have also been thinking a lot about how the player is going to open the gate and escape from Base X and I think I am going have key assets scattered around the base and then when all 5 of the keys are collected, then the gate will open for the player to escape. I was also thinking about maybe a code with 5 numbers, or have the keys drop from enemies… I have a bit to think about…
